LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) eye surgery is the best known and most commonly performed laser refractive surgery to correct vision problems.
The surgery is essentially pain-free and doesn’t take more than 10 minutes for both eyes (the laser itself needs up to 1 minute to correct your vision).
The results begin immediately after the procedure and vision usually continues to improve and stabilize over a few days.

Refractive surgery is a term that incorporates different types of surgeries to correct vision which includes Lasik. Refractive surgeries typically correct mild vision problems including nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. In addition, it can also be used to repair cataract and treat severe vision problems.
Lasik surgery uses surgical tools and lasers to reshape the cornea. This changes how the light enters the retina and allows your eye to focus better on objects. The procedure is short and doesn’t take more than 10 minutes per eye. ( the procedure takes around 10 minutes on each eye. Laser itself needs up to 1 minute to correct your vision.)
Immediately after the surgery, patients are highly advised to rest and get a long sleep for faster recovery. Temporary discomfort after the surgery will be relieved through antibiotic and anti-inflammatory eye drops. Haziness or blurry vision is normal, but it should be gone the next day. Avoid doing strenuous activities that might affect healing. Other postoperative care includes wearing protective goggles to prevent rubbing or a darkened pair of shields to protect the eyes from bright lights. For most patients, dramatic results can be seen the next day. (Other postoperative care includes wearing dark protective goggles to prevent rubbing and bright light discomfort) As with any other medical procedure, follow the surgeon’s prescriptions, and return for a follow-up checkup to have your progress recorded.
We at Ebsaar® aim to educate and discuss the variety of vision treatment options with you. We believe that if you have been living with poor vision and are a suitable candidate for Lasik treatment, our vision correction care will help change your life for the better.

it is a procedure that has had comprehensive scientific research and follow-up protocol to ensure the surgery is safe and sound. Femtosecond is the most recent type of laser method used to cutting the microscopically thin flap on the cornea’s surface, thereafter; the Excimer laser will correct existing refractive errors;
a procedure to achieve superior vision correction while ensuring the highest level of safety. The new UltraLASIK, combined with the Custom Wavefront, is used to create an ultra-thin flap on the front surface of the eye. The 60 KHz laser beam will then pass harmlessly through the outer layers of the cornea to an exact focal point where the flap will be placed;
is the new advanced technology at Ebsaar Eye Surgery Center, the waveLight EX 500 Excimer Laser STREAMLIGHT – it combines a number of innovations in laser technology which provides the patient with safe, fast and effective eye treatment for those patients who are not able to have the traditional Lasik flap. In just 20 seconds recover your perfect vision without surgery.
PresbyLASIK or Multifocal LASIK is a type of laser vision correction surgery that changes the shape of the cornea to fix both your near and far vision. This procedure is mainly used to correct presbyopia or the natural loss of near vision due to age;
PRK predates LASIK surgery and is a similar procedure, reshaping the cornea, which is the clear front part of the eye. In PRK, part of the top layer of cornea tissue is removed, and some people are better suited to this procedure rather than LASIK.
In a simpler sense, EPIthelial LASIK laser eye surgery or Epi-LASIK is a combination of both LASIK and LASEK surgery with subtle differences in execution;
